Let’s BOOgie Halloween Party
Here at Ellie and Piper, we are ALL ABOUT Halloween! It’s one of our favorite holidays of the year, and, of course, we love to celebrate it in style! However, spooky season can get too spooky for the little ones. That doesn’t mean they should be left out of the fun, though! Jessica and Ashely, the two moms who co-founded Host Society Events, collaborated with many amazing vendors to put together a styled, not-so-scary Halloween party for the kiddos with the perfect blend of spooky and cute with their Let’s BOOgie party!

To show off the adorable theme they came up with, Jessica and Ashely began decorating by collaborating with Alpha Lit Orange County to set up marquee letters as the central background for their party. Alpha Lit is a company that specializes in marquee lettering for any occasion. If you can spell it, they’ll light it up for you! Once the letters were set up, Party with Mami came in with a super cute balloon garland to jazz them up and highlight the color palette Jessica and Ashely chose for the party. Purple, orange, and green are common colors for Halloween parties. By choosing lighter, pastel versions of these colors along with black for a pop, Jessica and Ashely were able to tone down the creepy Halloween feel and replace it with something more child friendly. And, of course, even ghosts can’t boogie without a few disco balls, so a few of our Silver Disco Ball Balloons were added to their balloon garland for some shine and a little funk!
The table is where Jessica and Ashely outdid themselves with how seamlessly their theme and décor flowed together. They began by setting fluffy pillows around their plain white table in theme colors. Across the table, they bunched together a length of beautiful, sparkly silver fabric as a table runner. If you don’t have silver fabric that will fit your table, try our Metallic Silver Glitter Table Runner instead. On top of the runner, they had two ceramic vases overflowing with a gorgeous selection of fresh flowers by Lovestruck Blooms. Finally, a sprinkling of orange confetti and a few Mini Disco Balls completed their table décor.
For their place settings, Jessica and Ashely began by alternating each setting between our Check It! Purple Posse Dinner Plates and our Check It! Tickle Me Pink Dinner Plates. Each plate was paired with one of our Ghost Plates from our Halloween collection for an adorable ghostly touch to the table. Paired with the pink and purple plates, Jessica and Ashely set the opposite colored napkin. The purple plates had a Coral Pink Napkin paired beside them, while the pink plates had Lilac Purple Napkins. Matching alternating colors is a great way to keep color moving along your tablescape so that your color palette really shines and your décor doesn’t become stagnant.
To finish off their place settings, every napkin was topped with cutlery from our Halloween Broom Cutlery Set. This adorable set is the perfect addition to any Halloween table for a supernatural dining experience. Beside each plate was a Sparkly Iridescent Party Cup and a Silver Disco Ball Tumbler. The cups added extra sparkle to the table, so your eye always caught a glimpse of shimmer no matter where you looked. If you want a bit of extra Halloween magic, our disco ball tumblers are great for customizing to match your theme. Head to our Disco Tumbler Makeover blog post to learn how!
No Halloween party would be complete without treats! Jessica and Ashely partnered with Arrin from Air’s Love for Macs to make amazing macrons for the party. Not only did Arrin make perfectly spooky black and white macarons with multicolor Halloween filling, but she also made little ghost macarons that fit perfectly with Jessica and Ashely’s ghostly theme. And if you need platters to serve them on, our Black Melamine Cake Stand and Boo Vintage Halloween Bamboo Reusable Tray would go great with this theme!
Treats were in no short supply for this party. Jessica and Ashely teamed up with The Jolly Sheep, who came ready with their delightful cotton candy cart. The kids loved picking between pink and blue cotton candy and watched in wonder as the threads of sugar formed a fluffy treat just for them.
Since there’s no such thing as too much candy for Halloween, The Candy Coach came in with a custom Trick or Treat wall. The Candy Coach usually offers a candy cart or a whole vintage candy trolley to rent for your event or party, but this Trick or Treat wall was extra special. They created it so the kids would be able to come up and dispense whatever candies they wanted from a variety of choices. It was the cutest little activity and made party favors! And don’t worry about all the sugar the kiddos had during the party. They could get all their happy little wiggles out on a giant bounce house provided by Social Bounce House!
Finally, it was time for cake! Jessica and Ashely trusted Hapa Cupcakes and Bakery to design the cake for the party. The ladies at Hapa Cupcakes created the perfect cake to match this Let’s BOOgie party. It was an all-white buttercream cake covered with icing ghosts in white, pink, purple, and green flying all over the top and sides of the cake. Piped eyes, cobwebs, and a few sparkly silver “BOOs” decorated the spaces between the ghosts for an ever-so-slightly spooky vibe.
Do you have young children who just LOVE Halloween? Even if they can’t enjoy the scary bits of the holiday just yet, it doesn’t mean they can’t have fun. Jessica and Ashely’s Let’s BOOgie party is the perfect example of how to throw a cute and kid-friendly Halloween celebration.
