Welcome Home Peeps Party Theme
We’ve seen a lot of welcome home parties from our festive party lovers at Ellie and Piper. Whether it’s welcoming newborn babies and parents from the hospital or family members from traveling abroad, we’ve seen it all! When we heard that our friend Amanda at Rusty Chic Decor was throwing a welcome home party for her friend’s new baby chickens, we thought the idea was absolutely adorable. We were so excited to be a part of it!
Amand’s friend, Jade, runs a small homestead that she’s converting into a farm stand. She just finished remodeling her chicken coop into its brand new super cute design. When she told Amanda she was planning to bring in new baby chicks, Amanda jumped on the idea to throw them a welcome home party in the brand new coop!
Chicken Farmhouse Theme Party Supplies
For her party theme, Amanda took her inspiration from the new hen house and the chickens themselves. She based her tablescape and decorations on the colors that Jade used when she designed the coop. Setting the scene for her party, she put together a balloon garland in various yellow, white, and blue shades. Amanda is a DIYer at heart and created the white and yellow yarn garland to hang along the gate just below the balloon garland. A charming option if you aren’t as much of a DIYer as Amanda would be the On the Farm garland, available in our Ellie and Piper party boutique. It’s perfect for an outdoor farm party, which features a rooster and a hen, as well as many other favorite farm animals. Not one to miss out on a good pun opportunity, Amanda designed a “So I Peep Yeah” banner based on TLC’s song “Creep” to welcome the little chicks to their new home. Her creativity in uniquely decorating this party is so fun!
The table represents exceptional remodeling skills by putting together a repurposed wood crate and antique window shutters set upon a comfortable jute rug for seating. Centered on the table, Amanda had a vase of white flowers and greenery for a pop of freshness. With an eye for the finer details, guests were served on our black and white grid paper plates that stood for the chicken wire in the coop. She continued her chicken theme with our On the Farm Rooster party cups and Egg Yolk napkins. Amanda chose the Malibu Blue Splash lunch napkins paired with our white and gold cutlery set and tied off with a matching blue ribbon for just a touch of color. Completing her baby chick-themed tablescape, Amanda scattered white plastic Easter eggs with marshmallow peeps poking out of them as if they had just hatched. How adorable!
Even the chickens wanted a taste of the delicious treats at the dessert table! Amanda used a rattan side table to display all of the mouthwatering snacks. The melamine cake stand in mint was perfect for keeping the cupcakes away from the curious baby chicks. Each cupcake was topped with a little chick topper and wrapped in matching white and gold cupcake cases. The On the Farm cupcake kit would have been another great choice to keep with the theme. Amanda finished off her dessert table with a jug of lemonade tied with a blue ribbon and snack bags filled with popcorn that even the adult chickens enjoyed!
Amanda had egg-shaped chalk ready for the younger guests to take home after the party. She spruced up the plain egg cartons with blue napkins, baby’s breath, and a bow of fluffy yarn presented with a framed picture of a little chick; the small details were not forgotten at Amanda’s party. For more fun to add to the party favors, temporary tattoos or stickers would pair perfectly with the chalk.
All of the guests had a wonderful time welcoming home the new little chicks at Amanda’s party. Amanda made sure her friend Jade would have fantastic memories of their welcome home party. Whether you’re welcoming the arrival of feathered or non-feathered friends and family, a Welcome Home Peeps-themed party would be memorable for all ages who love farm animals.
