Tiny Dancer Ballet Themed Birthday Party
Almost every little girl has dreamed of becoming a ballerina when she grows up. There’s something about the flawless beauty and gracefulness of ballet dancers that just calls to the hearts of little dancers everywhere. Therefore what better way to celebrate a birthday party than to have it entirely ballet themed?
Carmen, the owner of BalloonDreams4U custom balloon installations, teamed up with our good friend and party enthusiast, Katherine, to throw her daughter Maddie the most beautiful ballet themed third birthday party. Maddie is obsessed with all things ballerina. Her mama, Carmen, took that idea and threw a delightful little birthday celebration for Maddie and a few of her friends at this Tiny Dancer Ballet themed party.
Ballet Themed Birthday Supplies
Carmen is the owner of BalloonDreams4U and is a natural pro at creating beautiful balloon garlands and decor for any occasion. Of course, when it came to her own daughter’s birthday, she created all of the balloon decorations. Carmen crafted a wonderful balloon garland backdrop to set the stage for Maddie’s ballet party. She used pale pink, white, and silver confetti balloons to create a garland that curled around a pink ballet backdrop with a custom wood sign with Maddie’s name above ballet slippers. Our crystal pastel pink and opaque pearl ivory balloons would be perfect for recreating this garland for your own party. Carmen also used a Jumbo Silver Number 3 balloon to highlight Maddie’s third birthday. If you really wanted to get into the ballet spirit, you could add a Graceful Swan Shaped Balloon as an ode to the famous Swan Lake ballet.
Carmen truly thought of everything for this party. Part of being a ballerina is getting ready and doing your hair and makeup before jeté-ing onto the stage. Katherine had a perfect little white vanity for her daughter that she lent to Carmen for Maddie’s party. They hung a small white tulle curtain behind the vanity lined with white balloons. The girls had a wonderful time getting ready in the little mirror and donning ballet buns and tiaras and all of the leotards and tutus that Carmen had ready for each of them.
For the table, Carmen leaned on Katherine’s party expertise to create the perfect tablescape for this ballet themed party. Katherine chose to keep the table classic and minimal. She chose a plain white table with matching white chairs, which she decorated with simple pink tulle for tutus. For the centerpiece, Katherine let the desserts stand in the spotlight. White cake stands of varying sizes held up all of the dessert offerings that Carmen had arranged for the party. There were custom sugar cookies shaped like tutus, beautiful white cake pops with little pink ribbons, pink chocolate-covered Oreos with ballet slipper decorations, and, of course, Maddie’s birthday cake. For an added little pop of color, you could swap some of the white cake stands for our Light Pink Melamine Pedestal Cake Stand, which is the perfect shade of pale pink to match this party theme. Between the desserts, Katherine arranged a large white vase filled with vibrant pink tulips and another clear vase filled with a delicate white rose bouquet.
For the place settings, Katherine found the perfect tableware in our collection to match this party perfectly. She used the Pink Simply Eco Large Paper Plates as chargers and stacked Cream Simply Eco Small Paper Plates on top of them. Every plate was topped with a custom silver acrylic name sign for each of the four girls and a wrapped custom sugar cookie that the girls could take home later. Beside the plates, she placed White and Blush Pink Cutlery over Frenchie Stripe Metallic Silver Napkins. Finally, each setting was completed with the dusty pink cups from our Pink Tone Cup Set with a Silver Star Straw and a custom ballet slipper drink stirrer.
Carmen had a beautiful cake made for Maddie’s party. It was a delicious vanilla cake covered in flawless white fondant. Pale pink icing was piped around the bottom edge to match the pale pink 3 attached to the front of the cake. A little white cloud with Maddie’s name on it was made of melted chocolate and hung right above the 3. Melted chocolate was also used to create two perfect ballerina feet wearing pointe shoes at the top of the cake. Maddie actually blew out birthday candles twice for twice the birthday wishes. The first time she tried to blow out three sparkelettes, it turned out to be harder than it looked. But the second time, she succeeded in blowing out Pale Pink Glitter Dipped Candles for one big third birthday wish.
Carmen isn’t one to leave out the other mamas who brought their daughters to Maddie’s party. After cake and dessert were served to the girls, Carmen brought out a little Prosecco station for the moms to enjoy. She had champagne flutes with ballerina drink stirrers and topped with puffs of sweet Twirl Cotton Candy. If you want to set up your own Prosecco station at your next party, our Shatterproof Stemless Champagne Flutes are a great option that’s safe around kids. Carmen also set out cotton candy pops in case anyone wanted a second bite. Her Mama’s Only station was decorated simply with a white vase of pink roses, and two more mini cake stands with cake pops and a chocolate covered Oreo.
Maddie and her friends had such a wonderful time dancing like ballerinas. Her mama definitely knew exactly how to make all of her ballet dreams come true for her special day. Between her creating the party concept and designing all of the balloons, and collaborating with Katherine, Maddie could not have had a better third birthday party.
