It can seem that the party-loving community is focused mainly on bright, sparkly colors instead of more gender-neutral styles. However, little princes deserve fun, photo-worthy celebrations too! We are so excited to share with you this puppy party put together by our friend Ashley Ross.

This is a party that would make any puppy’s mouth water with the bouncy balls to play with and yummy treats to eat. Even one special pup made an appearance wearing a very festive party hat to celebrate one of his favorite humans. If this puppy pawty doesn’t make you awe over the bond between kids and their furry friends, then we don't know what will!

Puppy Pawty Themed 1st Birthday Party

This adorable centerpiece is one of our favorite features of this puppy dog themed first birthday party. To recreate this dog bowl centerpiece at home, start with a cake stand. Our mint green cake stand would match so well with the rest of the decor's light blue hues. We also have yellow, pink and purple if you want to brighten up your party. Simply get any dog bowl from your local grocery store and fill it with blue tennis balls. We love how creative this centerpiece is, and it doubles as toys for the kiddos (and pups) to play with!

Smash cakes are always so much fun at first birthday parties! At this puppy pawty, there was a pretty blue-spotted cake for the little birthday prince and a cute dog cake for the whole gang to eat. The dog cake is so simple but still so adorable! To make the cake smash moment even more fun, Ashley added a decorative setup that matched the theme effortlessly. We have numbered balloons in both black and blue to debut a milestone birthday. Paired with our blue fringe curtain backdrop would be an easy way to recreate this at home without an entire party planning committee!

The tablescape for this puppy pawty themed first birthday party is everything! This definitely has inspired us to think outside of the box and get creative with party supplies. The main piece is the dog plates that matched the cake perfectly! To incorporate the blue tones into the tablescape, Ashley used our bright blue dinner plates to pile on all the snacks to munch on. If you wanted to indulge even further into the puppy pawty theme, you could use the black and white spotted small plates, which look just like dalmatian spots and would be great for cake! Our black and white party scramble napkins looked so nice against the bright blue paper to tone the hues down. Finishing off this adorable tablescape is the blue wooden cutlery set. The soft blue color is darling, and the wooden set is more sustainable (and cuter) than your average plastic cutlery set. Win-win!

Balloons are a great way to grab attention and enhance the focal point of your party. For this party Ashley put together, she wanted to highlight the adorable prints of the birthday boy and his special pup. Following Ashley’s footsteps, you could drape our poolside balloon bouquet where you would like your party-goers eyes to draw to. Or, you could tie the balloons onto the chairs or place them on the table as a centerpiece. There is so much you can do with balloons to visually enhance the party, plus, they are so fun!

Of course, a puppy pawty themed first birthday party wouldn’t be complete without puppies! You can tell Atlas has such a special connection with his furry friend and loves getting to cuddle. The little birthday boy had so much joy getting to spend celebrating his day with his best friends.
