How to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Style All Day Long
Who doesn’t just LOVE love? Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to celebrate all kinds of love, and we don’t just mean the romantic kind. When it comes to celebrating Valentine’s Day with the kids, we have so many great ideas to get them excited for the holiday while also showing them just how much you love them. We’ve put together a few ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style all day long.
Celebrating Valentine’s Day in School
Our sweet friend, Nona Perkins of Perkins Party of 5, is always trying to make her kids’ days fun and exciting by engaging them with different crafts and activities for all holidays and seasons. Today, she’s sharing a few of her favorite ways to make Valentine’s Day fun, even when her children have to be in school.
A Sweet Treat for Teachers

Teachers deserve all of the love and appreciation in the world for everything they do for our children. Why not show them how thankful you are for them by putting together a few really easy teacher gifts!
As moms, we all know we could always use a few more hours in the day. So, for these teacher gifts, Nona kept things super simple. First, she took a few clear, fillable heart ornaments and filled them with delicious sour but sweet Sugarfina Sugar Lips gummies. Next, she closed up the heart and tied it off with pink ribbon or twine with a cute printable tag. And that’s it! So simple but also so cute and sweet. You can also try it with Peach Hearts, Pink Diamonds, or Spicy Heartbeat Hearts, which can all be found in the Valentine collection in our shop!
Adorable Valentines for the Whole Class

Next up, Nona came up with a quick and inexpensive Valentine's DIY for the whole classroom that's easy enough for your kids to help with!
First, you'll start with another clear heart ornament. (You can find them in packs of 12, 16, or 20 on Nona's LTK page here!) Take half of your ornament and apply a Valentine's tattoo with a wet cloth or sponge. Try it with our Heartbeat Gang Temporary Tattoos! Next, fill the other half with confetti, such as our new Cupid Confetti or Tickled Pink Confetti mixes from Announce Divinely. Cut another tattoo to fit inside the heart and nestle it on top of the confetti. You can also do this with stickers like our Love Notes Stickers! Finally, just close up the ornament with some festive string and a Valentine tag, and you'll be all set with Valentines for the whole class!
A Love Letter Lunch

One of Nona’s favorite things to do for her kids is to prepare them special holiday lunches so they’ll be surprised when they open their lunchbox at school. For Valentine’s Day, she came up with this easy love letter lunch that her kids absolutely loved.
To start, Nona sprinkled some X and O shaped pretzels into a child-friendly bento-style lunchbox. Next, she prepared a tortilla with some cheese and pepperoni and folded it up like a letter. She cut one side into a point and trimmed some edges to make the envelope shape stand out. Using a small heart cookie cutter, she cut a heart out of another piece of cheese and colored it with a red edible color marker, and sealed her envelope with it to complete her yummy love letter.
For extra snacks inside the box, Nona used a pink silicone cupcake liner and filled it with dip to go with a few slices of cucumbers. She used her heart cookie cutter again to create heart shapes in slices of strawberries and finally added an extra sweet treat with a few gummy Sugar Lips.
To complete the lunch, Nona wrote a little love note on Lacy Heart Napkins and added one to each of her kids’ lunchboxes. Our Occasions by Shakira Valentine Heart Napkins or Be My Valentine Cocktail Napkins would be other great choices for sweet little notes to put a smile on your kids’ faces while they’re away at school.
Celebrating Valentine’s Day at Home
Of course, the sweet Valentine’s Day fun doesn’t have to stop when school ends! Here are Valentine's party ideas to keep love floating through the air at home too!
Create a Valentine’s Day Table
A Valentine’s Day party has to have the perfect tablescape to celebrate the holiday. Our good friend and the flat lay queen herself, Kelsey Klos, created the most adorable Hershey’s Kiss table that would be perfect for any party.
Inspired by this super cute Pearl and Jane felt garland, Kelsey put together a Valentine-themed table in festive pink and purple tones. To start, Kelsey cut out Hershey’s Kiss shapes from extra Iridescent Silver Plates she had left over from past parties. Next, she printed the iconic kiss tags and draped them over the side of pink and purple plates from the top of each Kiss shape. She’s even created printable Kiss tags so you can create this look at home! Find it on Kelsey’s blog here.
Finally, each plate was topped with our favorite custom plate item, the Clear Acrylic Round Charger. Kelsey placed a few Valentine-themed sugar cookies and chocolates on top of each plate for a little sweet treat. Besides the plates, she used pink and purple linen napkins tied together with a matching ribbon and placed them on top of Tickle Me Pink and Purple Posse Napkins to keep with the color scheme. By pairing pink napkins with the purple place setting, she’s created a dynamic and layered look to her tablescape that we absolutely love.
To finish off her tablescape, Kelsey placed heart-shaped glasses filled with Hershey’s Kisses and topped with a fun Valentine drink stirrer. With a sprinkle of pink, purple, and heart-shaped confetti and draping her Pearl and Jane garland down the center of her table, Kelsey’s Valentine’s Kiss Table is complete!
Grab the garland that inspired this table from Pearl and Jane’s shop using Kelsey’s discount code: KELSEY10.

Of course, the entire table doesn’t have to be decked out in Hershey Kiss plates. Kelsey came up with this easy confetti heart plate for a simpler look. Using a pale pink plate from our Pretty in Pink Paper Plate collection, she added a handful of bright confetti into the middle and shaped it into a heart. Simply add the Clear Acrylic Round Charger on top of it, and you’re done! You can pair it with a Lilac Purple Dinner Napkin, a reusable melamine cup in Fuchsia, and a cute drink stirrer, and you’ll be all set!
Another plate décor option would be this super simple heart plate! With just a Snow Paper Plate, washi tape, and another acrylic charger, this last plate is so easy but so cute. Use either our Cherry Crush or Tickle Me Pink washi tape and rip small pieces to form the shape of a heart on the plate. Top it with the charger, and you’ll be ready to indulge in all of the yummy Valentine's cookies and treats!
The Perfect Galentine’s Gift

Last but certainly not least, your at-home Valentine’s party doesn’t have to be all about the kids if you don’t want it to be. For more grown-up fun when the kids go to bed, you can create these adorable Galentine’s Gifts for your besties!
To create these easy Galentine’s gifts, Nona Perkins is back with her cute and sweet heart ornaments but this time for moms only. Nona started by filling a heart with our Flower Confetti. Once the ornament is filled with colorful confetti, she looped a festive holiday ribbon through it and tied it to a bottle of her favorite chardonnay. Then, with just a few more ribbons and a printable tag or gift card holder, your Galentine’s gift is complete!
Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays!
