Floral Rainbow Party Theme | Inspo for St. Patrick's Day and Easter
It’s finally March, and that means no more winter! The countdown to spring has begun! It’s time to break out the party supplies in every color of the rainbow to celebrate the budding trees and blooming flowers that will soon be headed our way.
We were so excited to hear about our friend Lindsey's first birthday party for her daughter Ainsley. What was even more exciting was Lindsey's party theme! Lindsey chose a fun and colorful rainbow floral theme for Ainsley's party. All of the rainbows, flowers and bright colors are just what's needed after the long and dreary winter months. Plus, with spring holidays coming up, this party can easily be adapted for St. Paddy's Day and Easter!
Floral Rainbow Party Supplies
A floral rainbow party wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful rainbow backdrop to set the mood. Lindsey set up a huge rainbow fringe backdrop along the main wall of the party space. The pastel rainbow color scheme added a soft but vibrant aesthetic to the room. She added floral garlands among the fringe for a flowery touch and a colorful balloon garland running across the top. You can start with our Pastel Fringe Curtain Backdrop for a similar look. Just line a couple up along a wall and cut to your desired length. Add in the Whimsy Rainbow Colored Balloon Garland for even more color, and you’ll have a spectacular backdrop like Lindsey’s!
Lindsey had the idea of using wrapping paper instead of the usual tablecloth for her table. As she was throwing this party just for her four little ones, this is a great option for easy clean-up. Our Pastel Rainbow Table Cover will perfectly match this party theme if you want a more traditional option! Lindsey kept it simple for her centerpiece with just five small glass vases with fresh purple and pink flowers placed neatly inside. She placed extra flowers in empty spaces on her table and used fallen petals as a light confetti sprinkle between the vases.
Lindsey created each place setting by stacking the Pink Marble Paper Plates on top of the Simply Eco Mint Paper Plates. We love how stacking plates can create contrast in color and dimension to place settings! Above each set of stacked plates, Lindsey placed a Rainbow Shaped Novelty Plate, so each setting each had its own happy rainbow - perfect for all the yummy desserts Lindsey had planned. Lindsey used the French Flowers Napkins and Paper Cups paired with gold cutlery and pink straws to add florals to the arrangement. Our Blush and Gold Cutlery Set and Floral Paper Straws are two more great options that would suit this theme well.
Lindsey was ready for dessert time from the moment the party started. (We think Ainsley was too!) She prepared delicious plant-based chocolate cupcakes and homemade chocolate rainbow lollipops. Both were arranged with fresh flowers and placed on the table on cake stands. The Mint Green Melamine Cake Stand would be a great alternative. Lindsey topped each cupcake with an edible rainbow and heart and star food picks. Our Spring Flowers Food Picks would also make adorable little cupcake toppers!
St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Party
Rainbows are a huge part of St. Patrick’s Day decor. After all, what else would you follow to find a leprechaun’s pot of gold? That makes Lindsey’s floral rainbow theme really easy to adapt for a St. Paddy’s Day party without having to do much redecorating! You could swap the flower garlands on the backdrop for some of our Flocked Shamrocks and hang one of our many options for St. Patrick’s Day banners. We think the Charmed Felt Garland would look great with this theme too!
For some St. Paddy’s Day themes on the table, you could start by adding the Pastel Rainbow Table Runner and sprinkling some Whimsical Confetti between the flower vases. While the plates are excellent as is for this March holiday, you could take it up a notch by pairing them with the adorable Leprechaun Napkins. This adds a few cute little leprechauns dancing in clovers on their way to the rainbows and their pots of gold. Finally, adding the Feeling Lucky Stir Sticks in place of the hearts and stars to a cake would be a great last touch to turn this party into a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
Rainbow Bunny Easter Party
Lindsey’s floral rainbow theme is practically perfect as is to use for an Easter party, but you can’t have an Easter party without the Easter Bunny! Our Easter collection has plenty of adorable bunnies to make sure the Easter Bunny makes an appearance at your party! You can start by adding one of our garlands to the backdrop such as the Hoppy Easter Felt Peeps Garland.
To turn Lindsey’s table into a bunny-filled Easter theme, we love the idea of adding the Mini Flocked Bunnies peeking between the flower vases. The Acrylic 3D Bunny Sets would be another great option, and they come in all sorts of colors of the rainbow. We offer many bunny plate options to place onto the Simply Eco Mint Green plates. The Woodland Bunny Plates would be great for additional flowers, or the Spring Fables Melamine Plates could add extra pops of color. Lastly, use our Easter Cupcake Kit for an Easter-y finish to your cupcakes. It’s filled with flower, bunny, and baby chick decorations to top off your Easter cupcakes.
